Chocolate Eclairs

 
 
Kita cuba buat chocolate eclairs ni pada hari Jumaat lepas...tengok resepi dan bahan2 membuatnya pun mudah. Alhamdulillah, hasilnya memang sedap mengikut rasa tekak kita sefamily ...tapi jangan percaya cakap kita sebab sedap itu sesuatu yg subjektif, nak tahu kesedapannya kena lah buat sendiri Kita sertakan resepinya yg kita ambil drpd koleksi buku resepi kita...so layannnn


Chocolate Eclairs (Makes about 14)

Pastry
60 g plain flour
50 g lightly salted butter
150 ml cold water
2 eggs, beaten

To Finish
300 ml double cream
1 tbsp icing sugar
125 g plain chocolate, broken into pieces
40 g white chocolate, broken into pieces

1. Make the pastry. Sift the flour on to greaseproof paper. Put the butter in a small saucepan with the water and heat gently until the butter melts
2. Bring to the boil and remove from the heat.Immediately tip in the flour and beat until the mixture forms a ball which comes away from the sides of the pan. Leave to cool for 3 minutes
3. Gradually beat the eggs into the dough, a little at a time, until glossy.
4. Lightly grease, then dampen a large baking sheet. Put the pastry in a large piping bag fitted with a 1 cm plain nozzle
5. Pipe 7.5 cm fingers on to the baking sheet. Alternatively, use a teaspoon to place similar-sized lenghts of dough on the baking sheet
6. Bake in a preheated oven, 200 C for about 35 minutes until well risen, crisp and golden. Make a slit down the side of each bun to release the steam, then transfer to a wire rack to cool
7. Whip the cream with the icing sugar until just peaking. Spoon or pipe into the eclairs
8. Melt the plain and white chocolates in separate bowls over saucepans of simmering water. Spread a little plain chocolate over each bun, then spoon a little white chocolate over the centre of each, swirling into the plain with a spoon or cocktail stick. Leave the chocolate to set lightly before serving.
