Rich White Chocolate Slice & Award

 
 
Kek ini sebenarnya kita ubahsuai drpd resepi asalnya disebabkan kekurangan bhn2 dimana bhn utamanya plain choc. kita tukar kpd white choc., so kek ni tak berwarna coklat spt resepi asal tetapi berwarna krim...rasa kek ni ok gaks, jadi kita namakan kek ni Rich White Chocolate Slice ...kita sertakan versi asal resepi tersebut dan versi kita yg dlm (...). enjoiceee


Rich White Chocolate Slice

175 g plain choc., broken into pieces ( kita guna white choc.)
125 g unsalted butter or margarine, softened
125 g caster sugar
200 g ground hazelnuts (kita guna 70g ground almond + 130 g plain flour)
4 eggs, separated

To Finish
125 g plain choc., broken into pieces (kita guna white choc.)
25 g unsalted butter
Evaporated milk (ni kita tambah sendiri)
Roughly chopped toasted hazelnuts (kita guna parutan milk choc.)

1. Line the base and sides of a 35x10cm loose-bottomed, rectangular flan tin.(Alternatively, you can use a 20 cm square shallow tin)
2. Put the choc. in a heatproof bowl and leave over a saucepan of simmering water until melted
3. Cream together the butter/margarine and sugar until pale & fluffy. Stir in the ground hazelnuts, egg yolks and melted choc.
4. Whisk the egg whites until stiff. Using a large metal spoon, fold a quater of the whites into the choc. mixture, then fold in the remainder
5. Turn into the prepared tin and bake in a preheated oven 180 C for about 50 mins. until just firm. Remove from the oven and allow to cool. (The cake might sink slightly in the centre because of the lightness of the mixture)
6. To finish the cake, put the choc. in a heatproof bowl with the butter and melt over a pan of simmering water. Stir lightly.
7. Remove the cake from the tin and spread with the choc mixture, letting it run down the sides. Scatter with the hazelnuts.
